Flying to Namibia
Most international visitors arrive at Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH), approximately 45km (28 miles) east of Windhoek. The airport handles direct flights from several African hubs, including Addis Ababa, Cape Town, Johannesburg and Luanda, as well as long-haul services from Frankfurt. Walvis Bay Airport (WVB) also receives a limited number of international flights, primarily from Cape Town and Johannesburg.
Airlines serving Namibia include Airlink, Discover Airlines, Ethiopian Airlines, Eurowings, FlyNamibia, Lufthansa (seasonal), South African Airways, TAAG Angola Airlines and Qatar Airways (via codeshare connections).

From London to Windhoek: 13 to 15 hours (with a layover).
Travel by rail
There are no scheduled international passenger rail services to Namibia. However, luxury rail operator Rovos Rail operates a small number of all-inclusive journeys between South Africa and Namibia each year, including services between Pretoria and Walvis Bay.
Driving to Namibia
Namibia shares land borders with Angola, Botswana, South Africa and Zambia. Well-maintained roads connect Namibia with neighbouring countries, and border crossings are generally straightforward for travellers carrying the appropriate travel documents. Popular routes include Johannesburg to Windhoek via the Nakop/Ariamsvlei border post, Cape Town to Namibia via Vioolsdrif/Noordoewer, Botswana via Mamuno/Trans-Kalahari, and Zambia via the Katima Mulilo border crossing.
Getting to Namibia by boat
There are no international passenger ferry services.
Cruise ships:
Namibia is not a regular cruise destination, although a small number of expedition and luxury cruise ships call at Walvis Bay and Lüderitz during voyages along the west coast of Africa.
