The completion of Terminal F is estimated to be in 2025 or later. While the work is completed, a number of gates will close temporarily, check the official airport website for the latest updates on this.

Information

Multilingual information boards can be found throughout Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. In addition, interactive visitor information centres are located near the baggage reclaim areas, providing information about the airport and public transportation.

DFW Airport Ambassadors, who are stationed throughout all terminals, provide assistance, including directing passengers to connecting flights, baggage reclaim and other airport facilities. Allways Meet and Greet services are available for passengers connecting, departing or arriving at DFW. Transfer between terminals

The airport train, Skylink, connects the terminals at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, transporting passengers between the terminals with a journey time averaging around five minutes. It’s a maximum of nine minutes between the farthest terminals.

Transportation between terminals from the public area is available with Terminal Link, a free shuttle bus service that leaves every 10 minutes.

Driving directions

There are airport connections from the south on Route 183, or from the north on highways 114 or Interstate 635. All exits are on the left.

From central Dallas, head north on Interstate 35E, continue (northwest) on Route 183, turn off onto Ramp DFW Airport, and then continue (north) on International Parkway North toll road. The driving time from central Dallas is approximately 30 minutes.

From central Fort Worth, follow Route 121 (Airport Freeway) then Route 183 all the way to the International Parkway junction. International Parkway leads directly to the airport. The journey from central Fort Worth should take approximately 30 minutes.

Public Transport

Public transport rail

Rail: Trinity Railway Express (tel: +1 817 215 8600; www.trinityrailwayexpress.org) offers direct connections to a number of stations in both Dallas and Fort Worth from 0500-2300, Monday to Saturday. The journey time to downtown Dallas and Fort Worth is around 45 minutes and the one-way fare is US$2.50. Shuttles connect the station and the terminals and are free for passengers holding a valid air ticket.

DART (tel: +1 214 979 1111; www.dart.org) rail services operate from the dedicated DFW Airport Station (on the Orange Line), located between terminals A and B. The fare for a midday pass (0930-1430) costs $2.00, while a day-pass is priced at $6.00.

Public transport road

Shuttle: Go Yellow Checker shuttle buses (tel: +1 214 841 1900 or +1 817 267 5150; www.yellowcheckershuttle.com) serve various destinations, including major hotels in Dallas and Fort Worth. A number of other shuttle services are also available.

Taxi: Taxis are readily available outside Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, on the lower level of Terminals A, B, C, D and E between 0800 and midnight.

Money

Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport has multiple ATMs and bureaux de changes within the terminal buildings.

Communication

Free Wi-Fi internet access is available throughout the airport. Postal facilities are also available in all terminals.

Food

There are over 70 food and drink outlets at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, ranging from snack bars and fast food counters to à la carte dining establishments, including a high-end restaurant in the Grand Hyatt hotel (tel: +1 972 973 1234; www.hyatt.com).

Shopping

There are over 50 shops offering everything from cosmetics and drinks to Texan souvenirs (think cowboy hats). Duty-free shopping is available to international passengers in Terminal D.

Luggage

Luggage trolleys are available throughout all terminals. Luggage lockers are not available. For lost and found services, contact the Travelers Aid desk (tel: +1 972 973 4420).

Other

Other facilities at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport include hair salons, children’s play areas, spas, showers, and shoeshine services. Interfaith worship centres can be found in all terminals.

Airport facilities

Conference and business

24-hour business centres are located in Terminals A, B, C and E as well as at Skylink stations. These feature work counters, semi-private workstations, Internet access, and phone charging outlets at each seat. The private workstations feature computers, TDD telephones, fax, printing and Internet access.

Additionally, the business centre located in the on-site Grand Hyatt hotel (tel: +1 972 973 1234; www.hyatt.com) offers a range of business services plus meeting rooms and an exhibition hall.

Disabled facilities

Within the terminals, there are TTY telephones, amplified receivers and lowered telephones.

Wheelchairs are available from individual airlines in each terminal: passengers should request any special assistance from their airline prior to travel. There is disabled parking available in all car parks and the inter-terminal Terminal Link vans are wheelchair accessible.

Car parking

Short-stay car parks are located next to each terminal. Express car parks are situated slightly further away and are served by a shuttle service. Long-term, economy parking is available at remote sites, also serviced by the free airport shuttle buses. Prepaid parking is also available; bookings can be made on the airport website.

Car rental

The car hire centre is a 10-minute shuttle ride from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport; shuttles depart from the lower level of each terminal and courtesy telephones are located in the baggage reclaim area. Car hire companies including Alamo, Avis, Budget, Enterprise, EZ Rent, Hertz, National, Sixt and Thrifty are all represented.

Hotels

There is a large selection of hotels within a short distance of Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, including two on-site options. Assistance with hotel bookings is available at the airport information desks. Many local hotels offer courtesy transport to and from the terminals.
