Sioux Falls Regional Airport Guide (FSD)

An information desk is located in the terminal building, near the main entrance and exit.
From central Sioux Falls, simply take North Minnesota Avenue (115) northbound to the airport complex. The airport also enjoys simple access from Interstate 90, Interstate 29 and Interstate 229 – follow the signs to the airport from the designated junctions.
Public Transport

Taxi:AAA Taxi (tel: +1 605 310 6600), Sioux Falls Taxi (tel: +1 605 310 7909) and Yellow Cab (tel: +1 605 336 1616) are among the official operators providing taxi services to and from Sioux Falls Regional Airport – a full list is available on the airport’s website. The journey time to Sioux Falls is around 10 to 15 minutes, and the fare is roughly US$20.
Terminal facilities
There are places to eat both before and after the security screening area. Among them is an eatery serving wood-fired pizza, post security, and a restaurant serving a wide range of dishes in the public area.
There are shops selling newspapers, magazines and gift items on the first and second floors of the terminal building.
Airport facilities
There is a meeting room on the first floor, next to baggage claim. Passengers requiring more extensive meeting facilities will need to travel to the nearby Ramada Sioux Falls Airport Hotel & Suites (tel: +1 605 336 1020; www.ramada.com).
Sioux Falls Regional Airport is accessible to the physically disabled and is wheelchair accessible, with adapted toilets and lifts and ramps between floors. Additionally a number of the shuttles to and from the airport are wheelchair accessible (more information is available on the airport’s website). Any passengers who may require additional assistance are advised to contact their airline before travelling.
The short-term car park is located directly across from the terminal building, outside the main entrance. The two long-term car parks are situated directly next to the short-term lot, one on either side. There is also a ‘waiting lot’ for drivers collecting arriving passengers.
Car hire companies represented at Sioux Falls Regional Airport include: Avis, Enterprise, Hertz and National/Alamo. Desks for these operators are located in Arrivals.
A complimentary airport shuttle service is offered by the Sioux Falls Ramada Inn and Suites, which also boasts meeting and conference facilities, an indoor water park and swimming pool complex, and a grill restaurant. Guests here have the choice of rooms or suites.
The only airport located within the grounds of Sioux Falls Regional Airport, the Aerostay is a basic but convenient option for travellers faced with eye-watering early flights or stopovers. 76 rooms are available, along with free Wi-Fi access, fitness facilities and a meeting room.
A comparatively low-cost hotel, the Sleep Inn Airport is situated in west Sioux Falls, but is still within convenient reach of Sioux Falls Regional Airport. Continental breakfast is provided, along with free Wi-Fi internet access; and there is also an indoor pool, exercise room and games room.
A budget option near Sioux Falls Regional Airport, the Days Inn lets under-17s stay for free when accompanied by an adult. Continental breakfast is included in the room rate, as is Wi-Fi internet access. There is no on-site restaurant but all rooms have a microwave and fridge, and a range of eateries are located close by.
