Driving directions

From Philadelphia city centre, take Interstate 95 south to the airport exit. Alternatively, from riverside locations and North Philadelphia, head along the eastbound Interstate 76 before turning onto the southbound Interstate 95.

Public Transport

Public transport rail

Rail:The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transport Authority (SEPTA) (tel: (215) 580 7800; www.septa.org) operates the high-speed Airport Line rail route running between each terminal and central Philadelphia’s 30th Street Station (journey time: 25 minutes; fare: US$8). Trains can be accessed from the walkways between the terminals.

Public transport road

Bus:SEPTA (tel: (215) 580 7800; www.septa.org) buses 37, 108 and 115 serve Philadelphia International Airport. Bus 37 connects to Snyder Station in South Philadelphia; bus 108 to 69th Street Transportation Centre; and bus 115 links to Darby. Connections to other Philadelphia destinations are available from these stops. A single fare costs US$2.25.

Shuttle:A number of operators offer shuttle van services to and from Philadelphia International Airport – contact Ground Transportation Information (tel: (215) 937 6958) for details. Shuttle services depart from zone 7 of the Commercial Transportation Roadway.

Taxi:Taxis are available 24 hours a day from zone 5 of the Commercial Transportation Roadway. A US$28.50 flat rate fare is in operation to central Philadelphia destinations.

Numerous ATMs are available throughout Philadelphia International Airport. Bureau de change kiosks can be found in Terminals A-West, A-East and D.

Communication

There is a UPS courier office between Terminal A-East and Terminal B, while post boxes are located at various points. Data ports and free wireless internet access are available in all terminals.

Food

There are numerous restaurants and cafés throughout Philadelphia International Airport. These include full-service restaurants and wine bars in the international Terminal A-West and a seafood bar in Terminal B. Shopping

The UPS Store on the Terminal A/B connector offers copying, faxing, shipping and courier services. America's Cash Express on the Terminal A/B connector also offers faxing and notary public services. The Philadelphia Airport Marriott (tel: (215) 492 9000; www.marriott.com), which can be accessed via the Terminal B pedestrian bridge, has a range of business services as well as meeting space for hire.

Disabled facilities

Facilities for disabled travellers include lifts, elevators, accessible toilets, amplified and TDD telephones, Braille signage and raised numbering on lifts and ATMs. The airport produces a special electronic brochure, Getting Around, which can be downloaded from the airport website. Passengers requiring wheelchairs should contact the airport and inform their airline prior to arrival.

Disabled parking is available in the car parks; shuttle buses connecting the economy parking area have wheelchair lifts. Hand-controlled vehicles can be hired from all the car rental agencies at the airport.

Car parking

Hourly, daily and long-term multistorey car parking is available in front of all terminals: short-term parking is available on the ground level. Economy parking, which is serviced by a free 24-hour shuttle service, is available at the east end of the airport, near Terminal F. Car rental

Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz and National have desks in zone 2, outside the baggage claim areas. Information phones are also available in the baggage claim areas for on-airport car rental agencies.
