Idaho’s agricultural background have played a large part in its regional dishes and popular produce. The state’s potatoes are legendary, thanks to Idaho’s rich, fertile volcanic soils. This, together with its river valleys and long, warm summers has also contributed to a thriving mint-growing industry, which can be sampled in delicious ice creams, sweets and biscuits.
