A.N.R. Robinson International Airport Guide (TAB)
A. N. R. Robinson International Airport is located on the southern tip of Tobago, around 11km (6.8 miles) from the Scarborough city centre.
Formerly known as Crown Point International Airport, Tobago’s only international airport was renamed A. N. R. Robinson International Airport in honour of the country’s former prime minister, Arthur Napoleon Raymond Robinson. A tourist information desk is located just outside the terminal building next to arrivals.
From Scarborough, take the Claude Noel Highway heading west, then Milford Road, and follow signs for A.N.R. Robinson International Airport.
Public Transport
Bus: There is a regular hourly PTSC bus service (tel: 868 623 2341; www.ptsctt.com) between A.N.R. Robinson Airport and Scarborough, with connections to other locations around the island.
Shuttle: Many hotels on the island provide shuttle services to and from the airport.
Taxi: Taxis are available outside Arrivals. The journey time into Scarborough is about 20 to 30 minutes.
Aeroplane: Caribbean Airlines (tel: 800 920 4225; www.caribbean-airlines.com) operates regular low-cost flights on the 25-minute route to Port of Spain on neighbouring Trinidad.
Terminal facilities
Wi-Fi is not available in the terminal building, and there are no public phones available.
A choice of a few restaurants is available in the terminal building. Snacks, smaller meals, and alcoholic beverages are available for purchase.
Airport facilities
There are limited business facilities at A.N.R. Robinson International Airport. Some facilities and services can be found at nearby hotels while larger hotels in Scarborough offer full meeting and conference facilities.
There are two car rental companies represented at the airport. The Auto Rentals Limited and Tobago Car Rental Association desks are located at the exit of the customs halls.
Just a short walk from A.N.R. Robinson International Airport and the beach, the 24-room Kariwak provides accommodations overlooking gardens and an outdoor pool. A range of spa treatments is available for those seeking further relaxation.
A 20-room property next to tropical gardens, the Shedperd’s Inn is also close to A.N.R. Robinson Airport. All rooms are air-conditioned, and the property is a short walk from the beach. Bonkers, the hotel’s restaurant, offers all-day dining.
Situated along Store Bay Beach and a few minutes from A.N.R. Robinson Airport, this mid-range hotel offers a choice of rooms, studio apartments and cabins.
A five minute drive from A.N.R. Robinson International Airport in the village of Bon Accord, Native Abode features a number of room options to choose from. Facilities here include a small meeting room and business centre.
