Getting to St Lucia by boat
The main ports in St Lucia are Castries, Soufrière and Vieux Fort.
St Lucia is served by a number of cruise lines as well as local passenger/freight lines. The duty-free port at Pointe Seraphine offers two-berth cruise ship facilities, duty-free shopping, restaurants and bars; anyone can visit it, although a valid passport and an airline ticket are required to make duty-free purchases.
L'Express des Iles (www.express-des-iles.com), a high-speed catamaran service, operates between St Lucia and Dominica, calling at Martinique and Guadeloupe (total journey time to Dominica - 4 hours 30 minutes).
