The airport is located in the Someşeni district, 9km (5.5 miles) east of Cluj-Napoca city centre.

The information desk (tel: +40 264 416 788) is located in the Departure Passenger Terminal.
From the centre of Cluj-Napoca, follow route 1C (E576) eastwards. This leads directly to the airport.
Public Transport
Bus:Bus lines 8 and 5 (tel: +40 264 430 917; http://www.ctpcj.ro) operate regularly from the airport into the city (journey time: 30 minutes; fare: RON4).
Taxi:Cabs are readily available outside the Arrivals Terminal to take passengers into the city centre (fare: RON2, 25/km). A number of taxi firms offer bookings – full details can be found on the airport website.
Terminal facilities
Wi-Fi internet access is available in the Business Lounges in the Passenger Departure Terminal, as well as in the international passenger and domestic passenger pickup area. Public telephones are available throughout the airport.
There is a choice of cafés both landside and airside, along with a restaurant located in the Public Zone on the first floor of the Old Terminal.
Duty-free shops selling a wide variety of goods are available in Departures. Outside of the duty-free retailers, passengers can find terminal shops offering religious items, fashion accessories, local crafts and general souvenirs.
Baggage trolleys are available in the Departures Terminal, along with a baggage wrapping service.
Airport facilities
A conference room, with capacity for up to 100 people, is available in the Arrivals Terminal. There is also a business lounge located in the Departures Terminal. More extensive meetings facilities can be found in the larger city centre hotels, including Hotel Paradis (tel: +40 264 413 940; www.paradis.ro).
Long- and short-stay parking (tel: +40 264 307 500) is available at the airport, with all spaces located within close proximity of the terminal building.
International car hire companies represented at Cluj Avram Iancu International Airport include: Avis, Europcar, Hertz and Sixt, along with a number of local outfits. Offices for all rental companies are located in Arrivals.
This is a 4-star option on the eastern edge of the city centre, close to the main commercial districts of the city. It offers meeting facilities, a fitness centre and spa with pool. Breakfast is included in the room rate.
The closest accommodation to the airport only has 10 available rooms, but comes equipped with all the facilities you’d expect from a larger, more modern hotel, including an on-site restaurant, conference room, Wi-Fi access and airport transfers.
