The airport is located about 7 km (4 miles) west of central Poznań.
Poznań-Ławica Airport serves Poland's fourth largest conurbation in the central western region of the country. The airport is also one of Poland’s oldest, being built in 1913. From central Poznan, follow national road 307 west. This leads directly to the airport.
Public Transport
Bus: The airport express bus 'L' (tel: +48 61 646 3344; www.mpk.poznan.pl) connects the airport directly to the main railway station in the city centre (journey time: 20 minutes; fare: zł2.80). Tickets can be obtained at the news stands and from a machine at the bus stop outside the terminal.
Taxi: Cabs are available immediately outside the terminal (journey time: 10-15 minutes; fare: zł30-35).
Terminal facilities
There is an ATM close to the airport information desk, and currency transfer services are available in Departures, Arrivals and baggage reclaim.
Public telephones can be found throughout the terminal for use by passengers, while free Wi-Fi is available in a number of the terminal’s cafés.
Duty-free is available in Departures, along with two general shops selling a range of items in the public area of the terminal.
Trolleys and a luggage wrapping service are available at the airport. A designated lost and found service (tel: +48 697 015 801) is run by the information desk.
Airport facilities
There are currently no available meeting rooms at the airport. However, business facilities are available at nearby hotels, including the Hotel Mats (tel: +48 61 868 7831; www.hotelmats.pl) which has three meeting rooms accommodating up to 70 delegates. The airport does have an executive lounge area in Departures (tel: +48 61 849 2107) which offers a range of basic business services, including free Wi-Fi.
Short-term parking is available in two car parks immediately outside the terminal building. The long-term car parks are also only a short walk away.
International car rental companies Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz and Sixt are all represented at the airport, along with local operators. The car hire centre is a short shuttle ride from the terminal.
Located in the centre of the city, the five-star Sheraton is close to the main railway station. It has 180 rooms, restaurant and a choice of bars, along with meeting rooms and fitness/leisure facilities.
Just 5 minutes from the airport, the 3-star Hotel Mats has 35 rooms. The restaurant provides buffet breakfast in the morning, and serves a range of Polish and international cuisine in the evening. Conference rooms are also available for business travellers.
This is the closest accommodation to the airport, just 100m (330ft) from the terminal. It offers a full-service restaurant, and in summer, an extensive garden with terrace. A range of different room styles are available.
This is an option for those on a budget. It's a small property (just 11 rooms), but all rooms have en-suite facilities, and the room rate includes a buffet breakfast. The hotel is roughly a 5 minute drive from the airport.
