Driving directions

From central Manila, head towards the coast, follow Roxas Boulevard southbound and then turn right onto Bradco Avenue. From here, turn left onto Diosdado Macapagal Boulevard and follow the road signs to NAIA Road. From here, follow the signs to the required terminal. The journey takes around 35 minutes.

Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport does not have a direct line on the light rail. The closest stop to the airport is Baclaran Station on line 1 which can connect travellers with downtown Manila. Baclaran Station is about 15 minutes from the airport via car and about 30 minutes via the Route 2 bus from terminal 3 depending on traffic.

Public transport road

Bus: An airport bus runs to Metro Manila, while the cheap and frequent Metrobus operates to the city from Terminals 1 and 2. The journey time to the city centre is around 45 minutes, but this can vary depending on traffic conditions. The Ultimate Bus Experience, which leaves from terminals 1, 2, and 3 every 30 minutes, serves the main hotels in Manila as transport for guests.

Taxi: It is recommended to only take a taxi with Department of Tourism (DOT) accreditation – it is best to pre-book an airport metered taxis at one of the taxi desks before leaving the airport. Complimentary hotel cars can be arranged at the airport's hotel reservation desks.

The journey time into Manila varies enormously depending on the time of day. At peak times, it can take up to two hours, while at best it will take 30 minutes.

Jeepney: Privately owned ‘jeepneys’ run to/from Baclaran, where there is a Metro Rail (tel: +63 2 929 5347; www.dotcmrt3.gov.ph) terminal along Quirino Avenue to connect to the city.

Money

Banks at the airport provide bureau de change services during flight operations and there are also separate exchange facilities. ATMs are situated in the arrivals and departures area of terminals 1, 2 and 3.

Communication

Free Wi-Fi Internet access is available throughout Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport, although the service is not particularly reliable.

Food

There are either restaurants, coffee shops, snack bars or bars both landside and airside in all terminals.

Shopping

Extensive duty-free shopping is available in the international terminals, while a comprehensive range of retail outlets is provided in the domestic terminal.

Luggage

There is no left-luggage service at Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport. Luggage trolleys are available without charge and a free porter service is available on request. The lost property office (tel: +63 2 877 1109) is located in the departure hall of Terminal 1.

Other

Other facilities available at Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport include baby-changing facilities, a children's playroom, salon, sauna, massage services, 24-hour medical centres, chapels/prayer rooms and a pharmacy. There are also day rooms in Terminal 1 for transit passengers – these include showers and beds.

The airport houses an executive lounge with business facilities and showers, while VIP lounge access (+63 2 853 5998) is available in all terminals.

The Manila Marriott Hotel (tel: +63 2 988 9999; www.marriott.com), which is close to Terminal 3, offers 43 meeting and event rooms with a maximum capacity of 3,700 in the Marriott Grand Ballroom.

Disabled facilities

Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport is wheelchair-accessible, with ramps, low-hanging phones, lifts and disabled toilets. Wheelchairs are available on request from airline ground staff; passengers requiring this service or any special assistance should inform their airline prior to travel. Car parking

Short- and long-term rates are available at parking areas in front of terminals 1, 2 and 4. Long-term parking is available at the corner of Domestic and NAIA Roads and is linked to the terminals via a free shuttle. Car rental

International car hire companies Alamo, Avis, Budget, Europcar and Hertz have representation at the airport, along with a number of local car hire outfits. Operators have desks in the arrivals areas of Terminals 1, 2 and 3.

There are a few hotels near Terminal 3, while many other hotels of varying star ratings can be found within a short distance of the airport.
