There are a number of information points and counters conveniently positioned near the entrance doors within the terminal building.

 

Driving directions

From Sendai city centre, drive south along Route 286, continue onto Route 273, then follow Route 4. Turn left onto Route 20 and follow the airport signs to Sendai Airport. The journey time is around 35 minutes.

 

Public Transport

Public transport rail

The airport rail link service Sendai Airport Access Line runs between the airport and JR Sendai Station in Sendai city. The train station is located within the terminal. Standard journey time is 25 minutes but a rapid train is also available with a journey time of 17 minutes. The adult fare to JR Sendai Station is 330 Yen.

 

Public transport road

Bus: Local and sightseeing buses leave to surrounding destinations from the bus bays in front of the terminal building, but there is no direct bus to Sendai city.

Taxi: Two taxi stops are located in front of the terminal building. Four taxi companies serve the airport: Inari Taxi, Masuda Taxi, Natorigawa Kotsu and Kikuya Taxi. Taxi fares to Sendai are around 5,800-6,200 Yen or around 10,400 Yen with the use of the highway. The travel time to destinations in Sendai city is around 35-45 minutes.

Money

77 Bank’s Sendai Airport branch offers currency exchange services. ATM machines from Japan Post Bank and Aeon Bank are available in the domestic arrival lobby. 

Communication

Free Wi-Fi internet access is available throughout the airport, except at the boarding areas and the International Departures waiting rooms. Coin-operated computers are also available at two locations: in front of the domestic airline counter and the international airline counter. A post box is located outside the first exit at the domestic arrival lobby. A SIM card vending machine stands at the international arrival lobby. 

Food

There are a number of restaurants at the airport offering Japanese and Western cuisine, sweets and snacks. 

Shopping

There are numerous shops at the airport selling souvenirs, Japanese products, books, and sweets. Duty-free shopping is also available. 

Luggage

A lost and found service operates at the information counter. Coin lockers are available at the domestic arrival lobby and domestic departure lobby. The first 12 hours cost 400-800 Yen depending on luggage size. 400-800 Yen is charged for each subsequent 24-hour period. Yamato Transport Service Counter offers a service to send your luggage from the airport to anywhere within Japan.

There are two airline lounges at the airport as well as a business lounge offering basic business facilities.

 

Disabled facilities

The airport is wheelchair accessible. A vehicle stop zone in front of the terminal building is dedicated to disabled parking. Wheelchairs are available for passengers at the information counter. Contact the airport service (tel: +81 22 382 0080) or your airline for specific assistance.

 

Car parking

There are two parking lots on the premises of the airport. A large car park with a capacity of 1,100 is found directly outside the arrival lobby. Large vehicles and motorcycles may only park in this area. A smaller car park with a capacity of 440 is situated to the right of the main terminal building. The parking rate for standard sized vehicles is 100-150 Yen for every hour and up to 600-800 Yen for every 24 hours. Long-term parking is only allowed for up to 14 days.

Car hire companies represented at Sendai Airport include: Times Car RENTAL, Nissan Rent a Car, Nippon Rent-A-Car, Toyota Rent a Car Miyagi and Orix Rent-A-Car.
