Driving directions

The A90 ring road, which skirts Rome, leads to the E80/A91 highway that goes directly towards Rome Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport. From here, passengers should follow signposts to the terminals.

Public transport rail

Rail:The Leonardo Express train service runs every 30 minutes to Rome's Termini railway station (journey time: 35 minutes; fare: €14). FL1 local trains operate every 15 minutes and stop at local stations on the way to Tiburtina Station (journey time: 30 minutes; fare: €8). Services also run to Fara, Sabina, Poggio, Mirteto and Orte. Public transport road

Bus:COTRAL buses take around an hour to reach the city centre (tel: +39 800 174 471; www.cotralspa.it) and the one-way fare is €5.

Taxi:Taxis are readily available outside the terminals; passengers are advised to only take a white licensed metered taxi. The fare to central Rome is around €50-55 for the 25-minute ride.

Banks, bureaux de change and ATMs are located in the terminals.

Communication

Free Wi-Fi internet access is provided throughout Rome Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport. Postal services are also available.

Food

There is a wide range of food and drink outlets both before and after the security checkpoints in terminals T1, T2 and T3. There is a café pre-security in T5.

Shopping

Shops at Rome Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport include duty-free outlets (for passengers travelling outside the EU), fashion boutiques, jewellers and perfume retailers. Conference and business

The Atahotel Executive Centre (tel: +39 06 6501 0100) in T1 has meeting rooms, office space, internet points, fax machines and a copy centre. There are also several airline executive lounges in all terminals. Meeting and conference facilities are also available at the on-site Hilton Rome Airport Hotel (tel: +39 06 65258; www3.hilton.com), a short distance from the terminals.

Disabled facilities

Disabled passenger lounges are located in all terminals. Parking spaces for those with disabilities are available at the long-term car park, on the first level of multi-storey car parks B and C, as well as on the first and fourth levels of car park D. Any passengers who may require additional assistance are advised to contact their airline before travelling. ADR Assistance offers arriving, departing or transiting passengers with reduced mobility assistance on their way to the airplane. 

Car parking

Multi-storey car parks A to D are directly linked to the terminals via pedestrian walkways. There are limited spaces at Terminal A and B for short-stay parking. The long-term car park on the motorway from Rome to Fiumicino is served by a free shuttle bus to/from the terminals – covered long-term parking is also available. Additional facilities include a car valet service. Parking can be booked in advance via the airport’s website.

Car rental

Car hire companies at Rome Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport include: Auto Europa, Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, Locauto Rent, Maggiore and Sixt. Their offices are located in Torre Uffici 2, which is signposted from Arrivals, and accessible via a pedestrian tunnel from the terminals.
