Accra Kotoka International Airport is the main airport in Ghana, a West African country on the Gulf of Guinea. Kotoka has two terminals – T2 handles domestic flights, while T3 is designated for regional and international flights. Driving directions

Kotoka International Airport is easily accessed from Liberation Road, a main thoroughfare in Accra. Once you're on Liberation Road, follow the airport signs, continue onto Airport Road and take the second exit at the roundabout.

Public Transport

Public transport road

Bus: Bus line 383 stops at a bus stop on Liberation Road, about a 14-minute walk from the terminal building.

Taxi: Labour Enterprise Trust Co Ltd runs licenced and metred taxis from Car Park 5. The charges are GH¢ 10.00 for the first kilometre and GH¢ 0.10 for every additional 100 meters of your trip. Public taxis without metred rates are also available – passengers are encouraged to negotiate before starting the journey.

Ride-hailing: Uber operates in Accra and picks up passengers from Kotoka International Airport.

Money

Currency exchange offices and ATMs are available in the airport.

Communication

Wi-Fi access is available in Departures.

A phone shop selling local SIM cards is located in Arrivals, Terminal 3

Food

Food outlets are available in both terminals. However, as Terminal 3 is larger and busier than Terminal 2, visitors can expect more choices in Terminal 3.

Accra Kotoka International Airport has shops covering basic needs.

A few duty-free outlets are in Departures, Terminal 3.

Luggage

If you have misplaced items within Accra Kotoka International Airport, go to the Lost and Found office in Arrivals (Terminal 3).

Should you lose an item on an airplane, contact the airline you flew with for help in retrieving your belongings.

Other

The Airport Clinic is situated 500m from the terminal building. In addition, Port Health in Terminal 3 can give yellow fever vaccinations and other primary care services.
