Weather in Doha

Best time to visit

With an arid desert climate, you can expect sunshine throughout the year in Doha, although you may want to escape from the sun and the intense heat during the hot season (May to October).

The best time to visit Doha is from November to March, the cool season. In November, the daily mean is 25°C (77°F) and the temperatures dip further to 18°C (64°F) by January, which is also the coolest month. Doha receives a small amount of rain (75mm/3-in) every year and it comes during this period too.

The hot season (May to October) is intensely hot and humid. July is often the hottest month with average high reaching 42°C (108°F) and on some days it may even escalate to a torrid 50°C (122°F). Needless to say, the hot season is not sightseeing-friendly weather. Temperatures start to drop a little after July, though visitors may still find the heat intolerable. By October, the average high is 35°C (95°), but things start to cool down after that.
