Driving directions

From the centre of Chişinău, follow the R2 road south. This road leads directly to the airport. The journey time should be approximately 15 minutes.

Public Transport

Public transport road

Bus: An Express Bus Service links the airport to the city centre (Dimitrie Cantemir Square) in about 15-20 minutes. Services operate every 40 minutes daily from 0700-1900, and the single fare is MDL3 (about €0.16). There is also a shared minibus shuttle which runs slightly longer hours, but costs the same.

Taxi: Cabs (tel: +373 78 200 333) are readily available outside the terminal. Journey time to the city centre is about 10 minutes, and fares start at around MDL80-100 (€5-6).

Money

There are several banks on the first floor of the terminal, offering currency exchange, money transfer and other services. ATMs are also located in this area.

Communication

Free Wi-Fi internet access is available in the terminal building at Chişinău International Airport. There is also a post office and access to public telephones.

Food

Cafés and a snack bar are situated on levels 1 and 2.

Shopping

Duty-free shops selling a wide variety of goods are available to both departing and arriving passengers. There is also a range of other shops including a florist, gift-shop, luggage shop, jeweller and an electrical goods outlet.

Luggage

Baggage trolleys are available, as is baggage wrapping.

Other

Other facilities at Chişinău International Airport include a mother-and-child room, first-aid facility and an insurance sales office.

Conference and business

A conference room, with capacity for up to 15 people, is available in the terminal (tel: +373 22 524 174) along with a VIP and business lounge. Passengers requiring more extensive business facilities will need to head to some of the larger hotels in the city centre.

Disabled facilities

The airport is fully accessible, with lifts, disabled toilets, and designated parking close to the terminal. Any passengers who may require additional assistance are advised to contact their airline before travelling.

Car parking

While the new multistorey car park is being built, a temporary car park, with enough space for 260 cars, will be used and is located close to the terminal.

Car rental

Car hire companies represented at the airport include Europcar, Gotur and Prim-Auto. Offices are located in Arrivals.

Hotels

There are no hotels located on-site or even in close vicinity to Chişinău International Airport. The nearest accommodation, the upmarket Hotel Prezident (tel: +373 22 625 000; www.hotelprezident.md), is about 10km (6 miles) away in the city centre.
