Sarajevo International Airport Guide (SJJ)
The airport is about 10km (6 miles) southwest of Baščaršija, the 15th-century bazaar in Sarajevo's Old Town.

From central Sarajevo, use M-18 to get out of the city centre and follow the airport signs.
Public Transport
Bus: There is a direct bus that runs between Sarajevo International Airport and Baščaršija, the 15th-century bazaar in the Old Town of Sarajevo. As of 2023, the bus ticket is 5 Bosnian Mark (KM or BAM). The price includes one piece of luggage (under 23kg). Heavier luggage and additional pieces are subject to extra charges. Beware that buses do not run frequently; you can find the bus schedule here.
Taxi: Metered taxis operate from immediately outside the terminal. Alternatively, the staff at the information desk can call one for you. Passengers can only pay for the taxi fares in cash. A ride from Sarajevo International Airport to Baščaršija in the Old Town should cost between 15KM and 20KM (Bosnian Marks). In addition, every piece of luggage is charged 1KM.
Terminal facilities
Passengers in the Departures hall have access to free Wi-Fi for an hour, but passengers in the Arrivals hall and the main lobby have access to free Wi-Fi for 15 minutes only. Passengers can purchase additional Wi-Fi hours from the on-site cafés/ restaurants.
A restaurant and a café are on the ground floor in the public area, while two other eateries are on the first floor in Departures.
Duty-free is available after security, where passengers can buy popular items such as cigarettes and cosmetics. Prices are shown in EUR but passengers can pay in Bosnian Marks or other convertible currencies.
Luggage storage is not avialable at Sarajevo International Airport.

Airport facilities

In addition, there is also a business class lounge that accepts first and business class passengers, as well as guests who belong to one of the lounge programs.
A large car park, catering to both short- and long-term parking, is available outside the terminal building. Cash payments must be made to the coin-operated machine or at the parking booth.
Sarajevo International Airport features international car hire companies, such as Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Europcar, and Hertz, and a selection of local operators.
The 5-star Hotel Radon Plaza sits just 3km (1.8 miles) from the airport. This hotel offers spacious rooms, suites, meeting rooms, and conference facilities. The rooftop restaurant offers panoramic skyline views across Sarajevo.
Hotel City View Deluxe (Hecco)
This 3-star hotel is just a 10-minute walk away from Baščaršija, the 15th-century bazaar in the Old Town of Sarajevo. This hotel only has about a dozen rooms, all of which are clean and beautifully decorated. The rooftop bar is very well-loved by travellers.
