Information

An information and tourist bookings booth (tel: +61 8 8234 3623) operated by Australian Visitor Centres is located in the centre of the ground level of the terminal building and offers brochures, maps, and other information about activities and events around Adelaide. In addition, Airport Ambassadors provide assistance at check-in and at baggage reclaim.

Driving directions

From the Adelaide city centre, follow Grote Street westwards onto Sir Donald Bradman Drive and turn left onto Sir Richard Williams Avenue after 5km (3 miles).

Public Transport

Public transport road

Bus: Adelaide Metro’s JetExpress J1X bus (tel: +61 8 8210 1000; www.adelaidemetro.com.au) runs to the city centre every 15 or 30 minutes, depending on the time of day (fare: AU$5.40 peak, AU$3.50 off peak). Tickets can be purchased from the driver. All buses depart from stop 10 on Airport Road.

Taxi: There are taxi ranks at the airport located to the left of the pedestrian plaza. All taxis are metered: fares start at around AU$25 for trips to central Adelaide and the journey time is 15 to 20 minutes.

Money

There are several bureaux de change and ATMs in the terminal building.

Communication

Free Wi-Fi internet access is available throughout the terminal. An Australia Post box is situated on the ground floor of the airport, just outside the terminal, and a post office is located next to the airport grounds on the corner of Sir Donald Bradman Drive and Sir Richard Williams Avenue.

Food

There is a good and varied selection of dining options at the airport. These include a restaurant serving Australian food and wine, a pub and a café serving cakes and desserts.

Shopping

There are plenty of shops in the terminal, including a pharmacy, newsagents, fashion boutiques and gift shops. Duty-free outlets on levels 1 and 2 sell a range of goods, from perfumes and cosmetics to electronics.

Luggage

Luggage lockers are available adjacent to the car rental offices in the multi-storey car park. Lost property enquiries should be directed to the lost and found desk (tel: +61 8 8154 9531).

Other

Other facilities available at Adelaide Airport include a children's playroom, a pharmacy and smoking areas (outside of the terminal on level 2), as well as a prayer room on the second level.

Conference and business

The Qantas Club VIP Lounge (tel: +61 8 8208 8866) on the departures level has photocopying and Internet facilities. Singapore Airlines International Lounge is located on level 1 opposite of Gate 16, and the Virgin Australia Lounge and Rex Lounge are located on level 2 of the terminal.

Additional conference facilities are available at the nearby Comfort Inn Aviators' Lodge Hotel (tel: +61 8 8356 8388; www.aviatorslodge.com.au).

Disabled facilities

There are lifts, escalators, and accessible toilets for disabled visitors in the terminal. Counter Hearing System (CHS) telephones have also been installed for the hearing-impaired. Dedicated parking spaces for disabled drivers are provided next to the entrance to the terminal building.

Any passengers who may require additional assistance are advised to contact their airline in advance of travel.

Car parking

Short-term parking is located immediately outside the terminal building in the multi-storey car park. Long-term car parking is available off site, a short distance from the terminal, and is served by a shuttle bus every 20 minutes. Valet parking is also available.

Car rental

Car hire companies Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, Thrifty and Sixt are represented at Adelaide Airport – offices for these providers are adjacent to the baggage reclaim area.

Hotels

There are three hotels close to the airport. Numerous other options are available in the city centre, which is about 15 minutes away.
