Adelaide Airport Guide (ADL)
Adelaide Airport is one of the largest and busiest in Australia and is an important transport hub for the city of Adelaide and the southern region of the country. Our Adelaide Airport guide includes information regarding terminal facilities, access routes and nearby accommodation options.
An information and tourist bookings booth (tel: +61 8 8234 3623) operated by Australian Visitor Centres is located in the centre of the ground level of the terminal building and offers brochures, maps, and other information about activities and events around Adelaide. In addition, Airport Ambassadors provide assistance at check-in and at baggage reclaim.
From the Adelaide city centre, follow Grote Street westwards onto Sir Donald Bradman Drive and turn left onto Sir Richard Williams Avenue after 5km (3 miles).
Public Transport
Bus: Adelaide Metro’s JetExpress J1X bus (tel: +61 8 8210 1000; www.adelaidemetro.com.au) runs to the city centre every 15 or 30 minutes, depending on the time of day (fare: AU$5.40 peak, AU$3.50 off peak). Tickets can be purchased from the driver. All buses depart from stop 10 on Airport Road.
Taxi: There are taxi ranks at the airport located to the left of the pedestrian plaza. All taxis are metered: fares start at around AU$25 for trips to central Adelaide and the journey time is 15 to 20 minutes.
