Passports

To enter Antigua and Barbuda, a passport valid for at least six months beyond the period of stay and containing one blank page is required by all nationals referred to in the chart above.

Visas

Nationals referred to in the chart above do not need a visa for Antigua and Barbuda, provided they hold a passport with a minimum of six months' validity from the date of arrival, hold an onward or return ticket, have confirmation of accommodation, and can show evidence they can support themselves in Antigua and Barbuda. 

The exception is (1) nationals of Croatia, who do need a visa.

Visa note

Cruise ship passengers of any nationality do not require a visa provided that they arrive in Antigua and Barbuda in the morning and depart the same evening.

As of June 2016, visas on arrival are no longer available.

Types and cost

Single- and multiple-entry visitor and business visas are available. Costs vary according to the type of visa.

Validity

Single-entry visa: valid for a single visit for dates specified on the visa application; multiple-entry visa: valid for multiple entries within one year.

Transit

Transit passengers travelling within the same day, who normally require a visa, do not need a visa for entry into Antigua and Barbuda, provided that they have proof of their onward journey and do not leave the airport transit area.

Application to

All nationals who do require a visa must apply for an e-Visa before travelling (evisa.immigration.gov.ag/agEvisa-app/).

Working days

e-Visa processing usually takes up to seven days, though may take 15 to 30 days in some circumstances.

Extension of stay

Visitors are granted a specific period of stay on arrival. If you wish to extend this, you must apply and pay for an extension at the immigration department.
