Hotels in Georgetown range from good to reasonable. There are no high-season charges. Nature lovers can stay in cabins at the interior resorts and camps. As power cuts are common, it is advisable to take a torch.
There is a variety of nature resorts, ranches and lodges which offer unusual accommodation. There are also numerous camps, for instance Maparri Wilderness Camp which overlooks the crystal clear river and waterfall, and the Shell Beach Camp at Almond Beach where turtles nest between April and August.
